Cole Turner originally came to Louisville to study at the university here, but during his academic journey Cole found an inspiring culture of creators at the heart of town which led him to pick up his grandparent’s old camera and shoot his new home. He uses old film to capture the innate beauty of objects and places that some might miscategorized as mundane and he mixes time and patience with each photo. Cole seeks to better understand his new home as he walks along its archaic and historic streets looking towards the Victorian mansions of 2nd street or the colossal junkyards west of 4th for insight and personality. Trey Baus is Lou Rae’s youngest artist that finds expression in warping perspectives in not only his drawings but also within the people that view them. Trey employs an iridescent kaleidoscope of colors within his pieces that take inspiration from the everyday scenes he surrounds himself in or simply the musing that dart through his mind. We talked a bit about his life, his dreams, and how he is working towards growing as an artist. Come join us for a fresh perspective on the life of a young artist.

KP is a model based here in Louisville, Kentucky whose work stretches from local designers to haute fashion on the runways in New York and Los Angeles. On the show he details what shaped his style and how he navigated the modeling world to become the freelancer he is today. Ashya Watkins detailed her unique artistic process that combines aspects of body positivity and healing past traumas on the podcast this week.
